We’re back from our short break! Hopefully some of you got to see the Tweets about the new fantasy series in Hana to Yume and the new raunchy rom-com in Cheese! If not, look out for write ups on the Lovely Manga Blog. New manga is coming tomorrow, so I’ll probably be tweeting about it tomorrow night.
This chapter feels like it is the end of the beginning of the story. We finally get a full picture of Sagara’s background and why she insists that she’s still a boy. I want to punch Sagara’s mom into dust. I’ll save my further thoughts for either a separate blog post or I’ll write a comment for this post. However, if you are raging at the end of this, feel free to vent in comments section. Needless to say, I’m excited for the next arc of the story^^.

I was so sad about Sagara’s parents, but I’m glad because of what happened (he) she is able to move on. At the end, it looks like her mother is happy for her too. I wonder how her mother thinks or feels now.
Probably something along the lines of “there goes my $50.” A shitty parent like that doesn’t change.

The backstory in the first part of the chapter was harsh enough but I could still feel somewhat sorry for Sagara’s mother. Finding out just why she had come to see her child though actually made me feel sick. Sagara’s parents managed to set a new low for bad parenting in this series, which is kind of impressive considering the competition.
(Incidentally, why did Narumi look so understanding when agreeing that not all parents love their kids? Narumi, no! You’re supposed to be the one with the happy, sane family!)
Loved the last part of the chapter. Sure it was cliché but I was just so happy for Sagara. And Mr. & Mrs. Miyoshi are awesome. Thank you as ever for the release 🙂
You don’t have come from a messed up household to know that messed up households exist. Everyone most likely knows a child who was physically and/or mentally abused. Narumi’s family isn’t so great if you recall. His parents are separated and his mom is often not home because she works late.

MIYOSHIIIII COUPLE ❤ ❤ ❤ This is probably the first time I've seen him in a suit. Very very nice.
So I'm guessing this will be a turning point for the series. It's nice to see Sagara finally admitting to her feelings and realising it's alright to be a girl.
First of all, Miyoshi in a suit was wonderful. He was very handsome! And! And The Miyoshis: Fighting for the rights and safety of emerged females sounds like wonderful spinoff series. I’d like a series with case by case stories of emergence each month or so.
As for the chapter, I hate Sagara’s mom. I think that it’s interesting in both Kanojo ni Naru Hi series that emerged characters have terrible, selfish mothers. Even Kurokawa’s parents are selfish for using their emerged daughter as a replacement for their favored dead daughter. All of them have some serious parental trauma to get over. It seemed like before Sagara’s mother appeared, Sagara was slowly working through her issues with Narumi’s and Kurokawa’s support. Though, I wonder is there going to be a time when Kurokawa reclaims herself from her dead sister. Hopefully we see some resolution for that character as “Another” continues. Anyhow, I hope Sagara’s mom goes to prison forever. As for Sagara’s father… I think I’m fine with him being in the wind.
I’m looking forward to the next arc in the story. So many questions were raised from this chapter like whether Sagara is really tough or “cute” at her core. Will Sagara’s personality change now that she doesn’t have to worry about her mother. Or will it be struggle to even figure out what her true personality is? What kind of girl will she be? Will she change her name? After all, “Rinichi” is a very masculine name and it was given to her by a hateful mother. I also hope to see more of her uncle in her life. Will there be other bad people to protect Sagara and even Kurokawa from? Ahh… and Shima… I kinda want to see of Kurokawa and Shima together. I’m not sure I want them to be a couple, I just like the idea of Kurokawa having a friend of her own to help get her through her own identity issues. And Narumi… I expect to see him go into ultra-protective mode after this experience. Oh gosh am I looking forward to that!
And now the long agonizing 4 week wait until chapter 15. Sigh…
Sagara’s mum is a b*tch! The mothers in manga/animes have been ticking me off lately. First Kayo’s mother in Boku Dake ga Inai Machi and now Sagara’s mother. Such bad parenting. >.> Anyways like I always say I hope to see more romance development between Narumi and Sagara. And I meant it literally!!! KISSING! HUGS!! CONFESSION! WHATEVER! I AM OBSESSED WITH THESE TWO CUTIES! But now I have to wait for another 2 months. TTATT Oh the torture.
Did Narumi’s reaction in the end mean that it was Sagara who took the initiative to grab his hand? ❤
Also, since Sagara won't have to deny being a girl, I wonder if she'll just suddenly show up in a girl's uniform and surprise everyone. I wonder how the mob will react :p Perhaps she'll get admirers and make Narumi jealous.
I think Shima and Kurokawa would make an interesting pair if not friends.
