Kuro Lala One-Shot: "Tsuki no Kanon" (The Moon’s Canon") by Ken Saitou

First of all, I’d like to thank Amrai for translating this.  Amrai’s relatively new to the group.  She’s the translator for AnS, Ojou-sama no Untenshu, and many of our one-shots.  Her ability to make sense of Akidzuki Sorata’s word-salad never ceases to amaze me! The happy times and comedy lasted only for a short time.  Now we are back to the drama.  This story is more pathetic and rant worthy than it is sad and tear-jerking.  If you’ve been following the conversation in the chatbox, you know what I’m talking about.  This story really raised the hackles of the OS … Continue reading Kuro Lala One-Shot: "Tsuki no Kanon" (The Moon’s Canon") by Ken Saitou

Special Spring One-Shot: "Bye Bye Rain" by Shiki Awafuji

This one-shot is from Hana to Yume magazine so the original image quality is crap.  We did the best we could with what we had, but still I apologize that the images are not as crisp as I like them to be (although those of you with iPad 2s and 3s and iPhone 4s’s will not see the horror — those devices make anything look great!).  Anyhow, view the PDF at ~65% zoom to get the best image quality. As I wrote earlier, we at Omari’s Sister don’t particularly like to do projects or work with big age gaps. However, … Continue reading Special Spring One-Shot: "Bye Bye Rain" by Shiki Awafuji

One-Shot: "The Most Beautiful Name in the World" by Yuu Toyota

At last, a release!!!  I can’t believe that it’s nearly been 2 weeks since we’ve released something.  It’s not for lack of doing anything.  We’ve been quite busy.  I myself had to prep a couple of projects for lettering before I get to this one-shot and last week I was nearly useless because RL made me depressed and sleepy. Anyhow, here’s another one-shot from one of our favorite mangaka Yuu Toyota.  This one is a quite bittersweet unlike the other one-shots. Still it’s a lovely story and fits very well with her other one-shots.And now onto the link! Link to … Continue reading One-Shot: "The Most Beautiful Name in the World" by Yuu Toyota

One Shot: "Complete Story of Meg the Thief" ("Kaitou Magu no Ichibushijuu") by Nari Kusakawa

First of all I would like to thank Jade and Amrai for taking on the challenge of translating this one-shot.  This was probably the hardest one-shot we’ve ever taken on and I’m happy that we fought through it to get to a good result.  I’d also like to thank Noir Schist for her wonderful image editing and lettering. Oh!  And Ichi’s miraculous redraws too!  Great work team! And now onto the one-shot.  Not much to say here other than this is another wonderful one-shot from Nari Kusakawa and really like Ulric.  He’s awesome! It’s too bad this is a one-shot.  … Continue reading One Shot: "Complete Story of Meg the Thief" ("Kaitou Magu no Ichibushijuu") by Nari Kusakawa

"Sekai no Hate no Sougen de" ("The Grassy Plain at the Edge of the World") by Keiko Ishihara

Update: The file have be updated to correct a couple translation errors.  Those of you with digital collections may want to re-download the file. First of all, as you can see in the bottom left corner of the title page, “Ojousama no Untenshu” volume 2 will be available for purchase on March 5th.  Here’s a link to pre-order it from Amazon JP.  I’ll post links to other online stores once the book is actually released. On to the one-shot!  This one-shot is rather subtle.  It took 3 readings for me to get the entirety of the message.  For those of … Continue reading "Sekai no Hate no Sougen de" ("The Grassy Plain at the Edge of the World") by Keiko Ishihara

Surprise One-Shot: "Wait until it’s Dark" by Sakura Tsukuba

Since we’ve been burn before on Sakura Tsukuba one-shots, we decided to be quiet about this one and wait a little while to see if another group was going to do it first.  After waiting a couple of weeks, we decided to go ahead and take the chance to translate it.  I really don’t like keeping things a secret, but I think in this case it may have been worth it. Anyhow, this is a very easygoing and pleasant one-shot.  It’s perfect for a mid-winter read.  As expected, the artwork is also very nice.Without further ado, here are the links: … Continue reading Surprise One-Shot: "Wait until it’s Dark" by Sakura Tsukuba

Shiro Lala One-shot: "The Wizard and the Love Potion"

This is a really sweet one-shot.  As of now this is tied with “Dinner in my Coffin” as my favorite Shiro Lala one-shot.  This one-shot had tough redraws on nearly every page, so I would like to thank Ichigo Stars and Kumiko for all the work they put in to make the release of this one-shot possible.  It’s beautiful, you guys!  I really appreciate it. This one-shot plays with fairytale troupes.  It feels very familiar, but I think this one-shot was well done, so I enjoyed the “remix”.  If you haven’t read Toyota Yuu’s other one-shot “The Honeybee Earl and … Continue reading Shiro Lala One-shot: "The Wizard and the Love Potion"
