I lied. This is an opportunist release and it’s another cute story. There’s no horror in it at all. We were going to do a day after Halloween thing and discuss the various traditions around November 1st, but quite frankly, I think we’re all exhausted and need a break. Here’s a little rest in between the horror. There’s still some dangerous supernatural elements in the story, but it’s more of a light-comedy romance. So far I’ve been enjoying Ai Kurimi’s light-comedy romances. Most of the them are mildly smutty like “Sweet Spot”. This is a oneshot we’ve been slowly completing for at least 2 years. It feels like the pilot for a longer series that never happened.  Not sure how that would work, seeing as how one of the suitors in the love triangle is a Catholic Priest.  But… it’s not like Catholicism is understood in Japan.  Anyhow… what happened to the cats is kinda disturbing, and beyond that, this oneshot is honestly kinda mediocre. I think a clearer distinction should have be drawn between the priest and the demon. This oneshot originally appeared as the feature oneshot in Aka Lala last year.  We’ve been sitting on it for a while and finally got up the courage to take it on a couple of weeks ago.  It helped that the oneshot was released in the “Boku no Hitsugi de Bansan wo” (“Shall we have Dinner in my Coffin”) short story compilation.  Having the tankoubon version saved us a lot of time cleaning. Continuing on with our Fall releases, here is the first part of “Jinrou Chronicle”, a 2-part long form oneshot.  The second part will be released next week.
