The new project survey ended early this morning. “Ultimate Venus” won by a large margin at the last minute. However, two or three days ago I wrote I would not be taking on that project in this blog because parts of it are not appropriate for a general audience.
I received some excellent suggestions in the comments and as a result, I will be translating “Yoroshiku Master” for the holiday season. As for after that, “Toshokan Sensou” and “Shitsuji-sama no Okiniiri” are the front runners. However, given the excellent suggestions, I would like to take some time to research some of these other series before making a final decision. The question is how to do it. I did enjoy getting feedback and I found it very helpful. I feel, though, before I choose a series I need get a sense of whether I like it.
My plan is to start the new project in January, so in the meantime, if there are new or untranslated series you are interested in, let me know in the comments and will check the series out. Here’s a list of the magazine I get:

@buyingeverythig — Oh! I looked up the wrong “Love Sick.” Yes, I will check it out! I've been curious about that one too. I'll translate a few pages of the first chapter and post it after I finish Arakure chp 53.

Shitsuji-sama no Okiniiri is done by another scan group so it's probably not a good thing to do it! 😀 Also they are nearly finished with it so it's probably a bit pointless and I wouldn't want you to easter your time!! >_<
The same goes for Hyakujuu Kingdom, so again probably not good to do it! 😀 hehehe hope this helps! (also getting scanlation groups angry is not a good idea!!)
@Lauren: “Shitsuji-sama no Okiniiri” is ongoing and from what I've seen on the Internet there are more than 20 untranslated chapters (I believe it on chp 33 in Japan) and it hasn't been updated in months, so I feel that it would be well worth my time to translate that series because I'm tired of waiting for someone else to do it for me :D.
Regardless, I'm a taking a look at some other options before I make a final decision.
@Omari's Sister: I see.. I like the series “Hachimitsu no Hana” by Tatsuya Kiuchi. But the serializations are irregular and it's only scanlated by Aerandria by volumes, therefore recent chapters are still untranslated.
The next issue of HanaYume has a short serialization of Kiuchi-sensei's first series, “Kaizoku to Ningyo”. The author's artwork might not be appealing though, same applies to “Hachimitsu no Hana”.
By the way, can you consider translating all four one-shots from the furoku booklet given out in the next issue of HtY. They seem to be interesting, art-wise.
The December 1st issue of The Hana to Yume has one-shots by Kiyo Fujiwara (Arakure) and Mai Nishikata's A Small World. It'll be great to see if Fujiwara-sensei's sharpened up or not after Arakure.
Hari Tokeino's “Gyakuten Honey” was in an issue of LaLa DX right? Although the first was in LaLa Special? *confused*

@samantha_lim88 — Great suggestions! There is another manga series out by Kiyo Fujiwara and I am aware of the one shot. “Small World” is also on my radar. As for “Hachimitsu no Hana,” I like that one too. Checking the various bookstore websites, it looks like Aerandria has translated all of the chapter available in that series. I guess the story is unfinished ???
Anyhow, I will be checking out the other Fujiwara series and Small World. Small World is particularly nice because it comes out once every two months.

The volume 3 of Hachimitsu no Hana stops at chapter 12 (likewise for Aerandria).
According to Comic Holmes, she only published a chapter of Hachimitsu no Hana for year 2009!!
There's a tankoubon release for every 4 chapters, if she does publish the 16th chapter in the upcoming issue, alleluia~

I've also said that the author's first series, Kaizoku no Ningyo is up in Hana to Yume's next issue for a short serialization.
Hence, I think that the 16th chapter of Hachimitsu no Hana appearing in the next The Hana to Yume is completely impossible. Looking at the serialization patterns, I won't hope to much >< I don't like to say this but Kiuchi-sensei is rather inactive -_- Important note: Like Yoroshiku Master, Hachimitsu no Hana seems to be on hold. I a quick read of “Small World” and I can't tell if it's a one shot or a short series. Anyhow, it's well written and beautifully drawn — like a better version of “Faster than a Kiss.” However, like FTAK it's one of those stories that's a bit challenging in terms of morals, …
While browsing Ze-Hana to Yume, I did see a new chapter of “Hachimitsu no Hana!” I'll look into it further to see if I have all the missing chapters up to now. I also saw TONS of great one shot stories. AUGH!!! it's too much candy!!! I'm feeling deluged!!! I don't know what to do! Well, I'll just take it one step at a time, I guess.
@Mariko: I do have the Ze-Hana to Yume volumes you mention and I don't mind finishing off those last 3 chapters. Thanks for taking the time to find which volumes they are in.

Hachimitsu No Hana is on indefinite hiatus. If the mangaka starts the series up again, I will consider translating it.
