Crimson Flowers is ramping up! We’re working on fall and winter oneshots and finishing up some of our delayed series.  Right now, we are working with a skeleton crew, but if we can get some cleaning, redrawing, and lettering help, we can increase the number of releases we do.  Please see the recruitment page for details! Note: If you are thinking about applying to become a translator, please keep in mind that we want people who will be able to produce scripts that don’t need extensive rewrites. Looking for a group to Take Over “Mermaid Boys” Chapter 1

4/26/2016 Update: Shoujo Sense will be picking up “Mermaid Boys” We were going to take on “Mermaid Boys”, but after starting the formal translation, I don’t think the series is right for Crimson Flower. If you are a scanlation group leader or admin and would like to complete the first chapter, we are offering the work we’ve done so far except for the translation. We are Resuming “Magical Change” and “Yuurei Apaato Kanrinin”

In light of the situation with “Hana ni, Kamitsuku” will we be resuming two neglected series instead. “Magical Change” and “Yuurei Apaato Kanrinin” are returning to Crimson Flower. The next chapters in the series are already begun and we will begin releasing in March.  I will do some batch release blog posts so readers can catch up on the series. In the meanwhile, given the data I’ve collected from the oneshot releases in the last 6 months, I will re-evaluating future series and oneshots. We are dropping “Hana ni, Kamitsuku”

I should have checked this before starting the series, but “Hana ni, Kamitsuku” is already completely translated on Otakumole. I’m going to assume that most shoujo scan readers already read the series there, hence the lack of readership here. Given the situation, I don’t see a point in continuing the series, especially considering how time consuming the redraws are. Instead we will refocus our resources on series not already on Otakumole. Going forward, I will check whether a series is already on Otakumole before making it a project.
