Oneshot: "Mayonaka ni Binetsu" ("Midnight Fever") by Shiki Chitose

Continuing on with our anniversary celebration, we have a short age-difference oneshot. I like this oneshot a lot because it’s not often that the female main character is older. This oneshot is from Shiki Chitose,  a mangaka new to Omari’s Sister. I’m not thrilled about Shiki-Sensei’s drawing style (I don’t like how angular the faces are drawn), but I like her storytelling. And… the last couple of pages of this oneshot are very nice, despite her drawing style. Haha! OH!  This is the first work we are releasing that was translated by Peonine who joined Omari’s Sister in February.  She … Continue reading Oneshot: "Mayonaka ni Binetsu" ("Midnight Fever") by Shiki Chitose

Water-Themed One-Shot: "Seiten ni Tsurugi wo Kazase" ("Raise your Sword in Fair Weather") by Shizuru Onda

Wow! We got this one in with barely any time to spare, though it’s not like any of our deadlines are hard. But still, big thanks to Kiruku Naru for her lightening fingers.  I didn’t get all the pages to her until yesterday, so I was not expecting to be able to release this today.  Hee! Also, thanks to Jade for a wonderful translation and thanks to Maki from Chinmokurev for helping us clean this one-shot! We end our August water-themed one-shots with a bang!  This is a really nice one-shot from one of Bisco Hatori’s former assistants.  If this … Continue reading Water-Themed One-Shot: "Seiten ni Tsurugi wo Kazase" ("Raise your Sword in Fair Weather") by Shizuru Onda

Water-Themed One-Shot: "Kujira ni Kisusuru Hi" ("The Day I Kissed a Whale") by Yutaka Asano

Some thanks first :).  Thanks to Holanio for lettering her butt on this one-shot, and thanks to La Noche de los Caidos for helping us clean and redraw this one-shot.  Thanks to you ladies, this one-shot looks gorgeous! Oh, and let’s not forget Jade for doing a great translation! This is probably the most typical shoujo work we’ve done since chapters 3 – 8 of “Pika Ichi.”  First a warning, if you know anything about whales, sea diving, or underwater photography, clear that knowledge from your brain now.  This is a fantasy and fantastic things happen.  Second, this is more … Continue reading Water-Themed One-Shot: "Kujira ni Kisusuru Hi" ("The Day I Kissed a Whale") by Yutaka Asano

Happy Shiro Lala One-Shot: "Bride on Loan" by Ririko Tsujita

I know I said the next one-shot would be gloomy and hella messed up, but things got out of order, and this one-shot is ready to be released instead.  This is actually a good thing because I wanted to break up the gloom. This is a short light-hearted one-shot.  Since Ririko Tsujita is a new mangaka for me, I had a hard time with her writing style.  I’d like to thank Amrai for the helping me with the translation.  Tsujita-sensei, apparently, doesn’t like letting people know who’s talking and what specifically they are talking about…sigh…well…I guess this one-shot was a … Continue reading Happy Shiro Lala One-Shot: "Bride on Loan" by Ririko Tsujita
