"Yukarism" is going on Hiatus until the End of October

Update:  I’ll do a compromise.  We’ll release chapter 8 in early September. I just got “Yukarism” chapter 8 and it is not the last chapter.  Rather, the series is going on hiatus for three months after chapter 8 and will resume with chapter 9 on October 26th.  I did have the chance to quickly read through chapter 8 and it’s packed with details about Mahoro’s childhood, Mahoro’s dreaming activities, and a revelation about the true nature of Yuumurasaki’s and Shouma’s relationship…heheheheh…(anyone wanna guess?).  In light of the hiatus and the fact that chapter 7 left us in a good place … Continue reading "Yukarism" is going on Hiatus until the End of October

New Ouran High School Host Club Special Chapters are Coming!! Kuro Lala!! and More!!

I just got Lala 9 today and there’s an Ouran special chapter in it!  There I will postpone the last two releases scheduled this month to get that out ASAP.The chapter will be continued into Lala 10!  Ouran will also be on the cover of Lala 10!  So we will be getting at least 2 special Ouran chapters!  Yay! Kuro Lala!! "Ryuu no Moriuta" ("The Dragon’s Lullabye) and "Suzu Mousu" Announced

Akizuki Sorata’s next one-shot has been announced.  It’s called “Ryuu no Moriuta”.  Secondly, “Suzu Mousu”, a 3 part short series from Mizuno Tooko, has been announced.  Both will appear in Lala 8.  The previews looks really good, so for now we will put them into the schedule :).  We will make the final decision on whether we’ll do it once I have the one-shot in hand ;p. Ouran Volume 18 Extras Teaser

It’s coming soon *SQUEE*!!!!  There are actually several extra pages interspersed throughout the volume and most of it is in Hatori-sensei’s barely legible chicken scratch kanjis.  I will start working on it tomorrow.  I think I’ll get the omake and the thank you pages out tomorrow and then release the other extra pages day by day while I finish up AnS Chp 24 and “3-Hearts”.The extra pages between the chapters show all the Ouran main characters and a few of the secondary characters grown up.  These pages are definitely squeal worthy and I want to give them the time they … Continue reading Ouran Volume 18 Extras Teaser

TokyoPop is Shutting Down US Operations

Tokyo Pop is finally going under in the US.  They will be shutting down US operations on May 31st.  I don’t know what will happen with all the series they are in the middle of.  I myself am currently reading: Shinobi Life Gakuen Alice Portrait of M&N VB Rose Aion Alice in the Country of Hearts Maid-sama Needless to say, I’m rather disappointed.  Anyhow…hopefully, another publisher will rise up and take over some of the licenses so the series can be finished (Hopefully in affordable electronic form rather than tree killing volumes).  I’m not feeling all that confident, though, since … Continue reading TokyoPop is Shutting Down US Operations
