"Pika Ichi" Chapter 6

“Pika Ichi” returns!  I’m glad I took a break from the series.  It allowed me to gain some perspective on the series and to see the next three chapters before deciding to continue the series.  Make no mistake, this series continues to defy logic.  Apparently adults do not exist in this story’s world so it’s basically like “Lord of the Flies”.  By the way, I hated the book “Lord of the Flies”.  For the most part senselessly violent children don’t settle well with me.  Still, I like Tarou, Hanako, and Manaka and I’m curious about Dougen and Misono so I … Continue reading "Pika Ichi" Chapter 6

Akagami no Shirayukihime Chp 23

The long wait is over!  This was a tougher chapter than usual in terms of translation, cleaning, and redrawing than usual.  I think most of our active cleaners helped out on this chapter.  I think we are all glad to have this chapter over with!  Phew! Well, the chapter didn’t go as I expected, but my random wish for pirates in the story did come true!  Hooray for pirates!Updated 03/11/2011 (incorporated multiple minor edits from Holanio) Updated 03/10/2011 (error on page 25 fixed)Links to “Akagami no Shirayukihime” chapter 23: (Zip) (PDF) Spoiler Alert! Spoiler Ahead! My thoughts on the chapter: … Continue reading Akagami no Shirayukihime Chp 23

Junketsu + Kareshi chp 8 — wow, I never would have guessed who "N" is…

The title page for “Junketsu + Kareshi” chapter 8 is very deceiving.  Neither of these characters shows up in the chapter (except the Student Council President very briefly in a flashback).  Anyhow…this chapter pretty much goes as predicted, though, there are a few funny Aki snide remark moments (thank goodness for those). Here are the links: Links to “Junketsu + Kareshi” chapter 8:  (Zip) (PDF) — Retired Spoiler Alert! My thoughts on the Chapter– Kana continues to bumble happily and senselessly along.  Personally, I would have taken the hinges off of Masayuki’s door.  Beyond that, the whole Masayuki situation makes no … Continue reading Junketsu + Kareshi chp 8 — wow, I never would have guessed who "N" is…

Extras in "Zettai Heiwa Daisakusen" Volume 4

My gosh, that slow boat from Asia was EXTRA slow! There are some cute extras included in the 4th volume of “Zettai Heiwa Daisakusen”.  There’s a thank you page with very nice drawing and a short omake about the baby prince!  So cute!  I love stories that end in marital and family bliss!  I’ll try to get those out along with refreshed links to purchase your own copy of volume 4 in March. Continue reading Extras in "Zettai Heiwa Daisakusen" Volume 4

Halloween in February: "The Devil Mansion’s Teacher"

(Joint with The Zero Alliance) This one-shot was supposed to come out last Halloween, but because I underestimated the amount work needed to do the image editing and redraws, we couldn’t get it done in time.  Fortunately, things came together now, so we’ll have a little bit of Halloween in February.Again, this is another project that is a little different from want we usually do (one more project like this, then I can’t say that anymore…haha).  This story isn’t actually all that spooky, it’s more of a spooky motif.  The story itself is quite heartwarming and I really like Nayuta. … Continue reading Halloween in February: "The Devil Mansion’s Teacher"

Series Debut: "The Ghost Apartment Manager"

“The Ghost Apartment Manager” is a little different project than we usually take on.  This series is about the friendship between two male protagonists and involves a bit of tragedy.  And now for the links: Links to “The Ghost Apartment Manager” Chapter 1: (Zip) (PDF) My Thoughts on the Chapter: What attracted me to the story is the relationship between the two boys.  Sekka is obviously emotionally stoppered and Leo seems to be one of those shallow happy-go-lucky guys with lots of acquaintances.  Why are they friends? And how will they proceed in the situation they currently find themselves … Continue reading Series Debut: "The Ghost Apartment Manager"
