It’s another cruel chapter of “Magnolia”…this one is only 28 pages and as one of my proofreaders pointed out, the second page is a repeat. Boo! But it’s a really good chapter and sets up for what I hope to be a thrilling volume 2. Finally, we come to the end of the whole “Alice in Wonderland” photo shoot arc, but unfortunately, this isn’t the end of the need for Hal.  Hal seriously bugs me, but I guess that’s his duty.  Most of this chapter is fan service with a nice pair of surprises from Ritsu.  Chiro, though, finally asks a rather important question — why does Ritsu have to be an onnagata?  Yeah, it’s traditional, but Ritsu actually seems to enjoy it. One agonizing wait is over only to begin another.  The mental well being of a Magnolia fan is never good.  Hahaha!  We finally get the answer to how Ayato’s Dad reacts to Ayato dressed as a woman.  The reaction, in general, is as I expected, but I didn’t anticipate the extent of the reaction.  Needless to say, I was quite pleased by the whole scene.  Thank you Naked Ape for exceeding my expectations! Here is “Junketsu + Kareshi” Chapter 5!  The cliffhanger from chapter 4 is resolved very unexpectedly, and now it makes me wonder what direction this story is taking.  I like that I was surprised in this manner, though, because what happened took courage to do.  It’s definitely not cliched :). Ouran Special Short Story and Commemoration

The Ouran Commemoration in Lala Special issue 12/2010 contains a lot of stuff.  I stuck to the stuff that was most interesting to me and took into consideration what might appear in Volume 18 when it’s finally released in English.  Five chapters were selected as key chapters to re-read.  They are chapters 4, 20, 36, 52, and 80.  These key chapters were reprinted and took up the bulk of the commemoration.  Interspersed between the chapter re-prints were interviews and Ouran trivia.  I imagine most of this stuff will appear when Volume 18 is finally released in English from Viz, plus, … Continue reading Ouran Special Short Story and Commemoration

Hopefully this isn’t the last of “Seirei Produce.”  Anyhow, in this chapter, Amane continues to “rock” the school girl uniform.  You have to admire his unwavering confidence.  Plus, there’s more of the handsome Ookami the Blue.
